Get away from it all

i will be in Patong from mid October for about 3 weeks. During that time I would like to split my time in the busy resort and spend 3 or 4 days somewhere "out of the way", preferably by a fairly quiet beach and I dont really wanna spend more than 1500 baht per night. Can anyone suggest anything or should I give up the idea and save more money
I have done some searching on this but as I dont "know" Phuket I would like the opinions of people that have been there.

kata beach and karon beach would be a good setting for you
i suggest you book your patong hotels
while in patong-got o latestays.com for kata and karon and look for hotels on that sight
about a week before booking

You could try Nai Harn on latestays as Marc suggests I've seen 2 resorts advertised 1200 to 1500bhat in low season
