Phuket to Pattaya
is there a flight from phuket to pattaya or do I have to return to BKK., I always say Im going to Phuket and always go straight to Pattaya....Cant wait till JULY:

There is a flight to U Tapao but its not that much better than BKK (new airport).. I would do BKK and taxi for more flight choice..

Bongoz, it's cheaper and just as quick to fly to BKK and get a taxi even if your flight is to Don Muang which is further away from Pattaya than the new airport.
If you do go to U tapao it will feel like you've landed in little Russia...about a dozen Russian airliners there last time I went compared to 1 Thai and seemed like more Russian signs in the terminal building than Thai!! Such a quiet airport there are few taxis either and you could end up in a dilapidated old bus like I did that took nearly an hour to get to Pattaya. It only has 3 scheduled flights a day...all Bangkok Airways...the rest are charters, mostly Russian Federation or Taiwanese.

As said will be cheaper to taxi to airport and then Air Asia flight to Phuket, costs 1700 single. Cheapest way is by bus to Phuket but will take about 14 hours or more and probably do your back in!!
