A guy at work has just spent a few days at the above hotel on his first visit to Thailand, he says it was a nice clean decent pool good breakfast place to stay

Any views from the more experienced visitor?

The pics on the web site look OK too and approx 18 months since opening...views on hotel welcome

Its a new place.. Pretty far out of town center.. Looks to be done out with some style but the prices I just saw are very high, perhaps thats the booking site ?? 3500 - 5000 a night.. + 350 for an ABF !!!

You can get similar for a lot less..

Of course the summer breeze etc in town but if you want something decked out nice, a pool, and away from town, I used to often stay in the Palm View (my buddy is the ex owner, built the place) and you get a better location, and a suite for about 1/2 that price.. Good Nanai central location, small hotel so very good attentive staff.. Its not large so it books solid.

Sun Hill seems popular and OK rooms.. They have suites as well (according to Pabs's pics).. The kind of money for a room in that place is enough for a suite elsewhere..

Agree the location is a bit of a trek I'm told it was a 300bhat tuk tuk ride the price on Sawadee is 850 a night including breakfast and having stayed at Sunhill last year (now 850 plus break + 200 plus for a ride home) and eat most of my breakfasts at Palm View (agree great food but again 850 plus beakfast plus unknown ride home but must be 200 plus) all 3 would appear to be very similiar in price and the Green Mountain could give you bigger pool with nicer outlook from the room? All based on standard room rather than suite prices.

Potentially a new alternative if like me you need a pool and don't mind a bit of walking and taxi ride home. I'm afraid the Summer Breeze is not for me after a look around last visit - different strokes for different folks.

Yes at 850 my opinion would change totally.. Then it seems a very fair price and a large pool area... I will bear it in mind for visiting mates at that kind of rate..

I do think the Palm View is my favorite of the 3.. The offshore over the road.. Easy access both directions on Nanai.. Etc..

Wouldn't disagree on that plus the breakfast at Mother & Daughter coffee shop is very very nice grub IMO....catch you soon (ish)
