Hi patnut,

I got an unmetered taxi at the new airport at 11.00pm to Patts for 1400baht including tolls. Took only a little less than 2 hours to get me to Soi 13.

I negotiated the taxi as I came out of customs nearing the front doors of the new airport. I was tried and the lady agent look honest. I tipped the driver 100baht on arrival. No sweat.

IRISH JONNY you pay a good price. I ended up paying 1300b this was negotiated down from 1500b. He then tried to charge me 95b for tolls I gave him 30 because that's all I had on me.

I used a tour and transport company based in Pattaya called Khrong Fa.

Email: khrongfa@ego.co.th

The name of the contact I dealt with was Ms Arunee. She will respond in English.

Driver was waiting for me at arrival gate at BKK Airport to take me to Pattaya. Car was a 10yr old sedan with aircon. Nothing flash about it, but who cares?

The fare was 1050 Baht including all tolls. I still have the receipt!
