asiarooms.com
Has anyone used asiarooms.com website for booking accomodation? How was the service?
I found myself in an endless chain of emails trying to communicate with them. It also seemed that they couldn't deliver on the rooms at their advertised on their site.
Thanks!

Same here. They never have the hotels i want and will always recommend a hotel that's just too far away so i don't bother with them anymore...

I aways use Sawadee to book my hotels - never any problems with them, plus their site has some good reviews.

I've been using Travellerspoint Travel Community for about 18 months now- very good prices and reservations through very quickly. One benefit if you out here is that prices can be converted to Baht ( or any other currency you desire). In malaysia though beware that a single price will be doubled, based on occupancy. Saying that I just got 3 nights double bed room in Penang at the hotel Crusty and I usually stay at for US73- I can live with that!!

The best sevice and rates that I have found, is wired-destinations.com. If the hotel you are trying to get is booked, they will suggest altenatives that are in the same range. Have been very happy with them.

On Thailand Travel Forum I found this comment:
Must National Communications Co / Asiarooms (Travel Agent) - Bangkok
These people run the following reservations / web sites; Asiarooms.com, Siam-Hotel.Com, Asiavoyage24.com, Hotels-Thailand.net, Thailand-Hotels-Phuket.com, Thai-Hotels.com, Thairooms.com, Hotels.Siam.net (Siam.net), Thailand-Hotels-Online.com, Thailandrooms.net, and many more. We have clear documented cases of this travel agent owing both business contacts (including our sponsor) and guests money - they are to be avoided at all costs.
We have documented reports of this company refusing to refund guests who have canceled properly and within the cancellation terms provided for on their web sites. We have clear documented evidence that this company does not always provide what the guest has paid for. These people are probably the nastiest travel agents in Thailand. They are French managed (the C.O.O. is Bruno Bourdin). If you are owed money by them, we suggest you contact him directly at bruno@asiavoyage24.com. Although he seems to simply ignore most claimants' e-mails. Please also let us know about any problems with this company, as we are keeping a file on them.

Asiarooms.com
I have used asiarooms.com for several stays in Patong, Bangkok, Hong Kong and hanoi. I have only experienced a problem once when Royal paradise cancelled our reservation after they got a confirmation of our reservation from asiarooms. We arrived on Good Friday, emailed asiarooms and it was sorted out without fuss and we were upgraded up to a suite coz "we make problum not your company" So far we have always got everything we asked for as well as an upgrade in Hanoi and Royal Paradise.
I have always found them to have the absolute best prices. Don't forget when the hotels have high occupancy they reduce the room numbers to companies like asia rooms. Some of the posts on this thread are not from people who have actually used asiarooms. So be careful when unsubstantiated claims are made.

All Companies In This World Have Complaints Againest Them.
I Guess Its How There Delt With Which Makes The Difference.
As We Know One Bad Experince Will Be Talked About A Lot More Than A Good One.
HAVE USED ASIAROOMS MORE THAN 30 TIMES WITH ONE SMALL PROBLEM WHICH WAS SORTED BY THE HOTEL WITH AN UPGRADE WITHIN 10 MINS.

I'm very happy i have chosen AsiaRoom.com for my stay in bangkok... The rates quoted were absolutely cheaper than other wedsites. I have received alot of surprise and touched by the arrangement of the hotel as they knew that i was with my family, which i mentioned during my booking with AsiaRoom.com. Thanks again !

I've used asiarooms too and they were the cheapest at least fot the hotels I stayed at, being able to pay in your own currency helps also. Regards some of the earlier posts - it's hardly their fault if the hotel you want is fully booked.

request confirmation email?
Hi All,
Just used Asiarooms.com and while I hit the button to proceed with the reservation my computer lost web connection and froze my browser. Trying to determine if my room request went through. Should I have received any confirmation email from Asiarooms.com immediately after submitting? I don't want to double book for same nights.
Thanks in Advance!
MM

Contact Aisarooms, They have customer service. Or contact the property. I wouldn't try to do again till I was sure. Usually there is a confirming email.

Thanks for your advice.
I was able to contact them via email and they responded incredibly quickly. I then rebooked the room and already received my confirmation.
Thanks again!

I’ll add my vote as satisfied with Asiarooms service. I used them for hotel and transfer services a couple of times and once had a problem with the hotel and they refunded my deposit promptly.
