As Im nearing the end of my 1 year at WW, and as Im taking a longer break from work, I am looking for alternative accomodation.
Perfect would be a house with pool and adsl in Patong..

I looked at houseinphuket.com but closest thing was in Chalong for 27000-35000 range. But Chalong is a bit far from Bangla

Anyone know of anything like that around?

Not so easy to find, think Livinlos had to search for a very long time. Geir had such house (except adsl) just outside Patong for 6 months but had to move out when owner had holiday.

Also ADSL is a problem itself, many areas still dont have phone lines available.

I wish I could help but there isnt many options around.

Did you ever get out to visit Denver or Dodger at their place in Kamala Keld?

Very nice places with communal pool. Worth a PM to see if there are any vacancies going. I know its not in Patong, but its a thought.

I still have a couple of months left at WW, so I have some time to look around when I get back. Just wondered if anyone knew of one.

No, havent visited the two heathens in muslim Kamalalala....

Im not really a communal pool type, I'd prefer privacy

(Although at 0400, not too many are hanging out at the WW pool

) Also the pool table underneath my bedroom is irritating me, as they cant seem to keep the balls on the table and its a tile floor....Dong......dong...dong..dong-dong-dong ARGH!!!

Theres a 3 bed with small pool and Baan Suan Kamnaan.. 80k !!!

You could do worse than look into where Dodge and Denver stay, communal pool and longish way from town but nice places.. Communal pool up at beverly hills.. I think theres some 2 bed aparts coming free low season..

A Private pool in Patong is rare as rocking horse shite.. I honestly looked for 18 months maybe more advertising in gazette, seeing all agents, etc.. Also mine hurts come 1st of the month..

I'm looking for something in a similar price range (up to 30k/month) with ADSL in Patong too.

There's one up Soi Thumdee off Nanai (just before Paddy's Inn). The guy renting it may be taking off in a couple of months too IIRC.

He's paying 45K per month, but he arrived at high season and didn't even negotiate price (first time to Thailand) and he didn't really care about the price, either way. It's a brand new (less than one year) two bedroom, well furnished, flat screen TV, modern kitchen, etc... with a good sized pool. Roughly 90 sq. meters of living space with a good sized balcony that wraps to the pool area. It's rigged for ADSL, as he had it installed when he got here in January (in fact, it is where I grab my wifi connection from)....

The owner, who is rarely there lives downstairs (separate entrances of course), but his Thai wife and newborn son stay there year round. It's essentially a two story house livable for two families... but only the top floor has access to the pool and you can't see the pool from the road.

No view though...

Quite a few places spare on our development, downside for you may be that kamalala is 15 mins away from Patong, we got communal 3 pools and a kids pool, average cost 30k but can haggle down to 20/25ish, got adsl. Might be a penthouse available with own pool but would be in the region of 50k.
