Cheap Ways to travel from Phuket > pattaya > then bangkok???
Me and the will be be staying in phuket 1st this summer, then a week or so in pattaya then off to bangkok for another week, we are flying into phuket and back home from bangkok,
are there some popular ways to go by bus or would it be better just to take short flights?

Hens,
Welcome to the board.
As Mav said ... fly ...
... Phuket to Pattaya via bus is an all day journey, that will probably exhaust you for another day to come ... not a way to spend you vacation to save some 1000 baht or so.
Between Bangkok and Pattaya Bus may be an option, but again is the few baht saved worthwhile compared by the reasonable cost of a taxi - 1000 baht each way (give and take). You started out your post "Me and the will..."; I assume that means more than one, witch will reduce the per-person cost taking a taxi, whereas the bus is per person.

Don't mean to interfere with your business, but I hope you (and your wife) understand the "scenery" in Pattaya before settling there for a week.

No, because there hardly is anything else (except it takes place in the daytime too).
Just wanted to make sure you did not face an uncomfortable surprise.

As far as I am aware, best options are:
a. Fly direct Phuket - Pattaya on Bangkok Airways (but services are not regular); or
b. Fly from Phuket to Bangkok, then grab a taxi (around 1.5 - 2 hours) to hotel door Pattaya.
Option (a) will probably cost over 7000Baht between the two of you, while option (b) can be as low as half that price.

Bangkok Airways

Thai Air

BKK Air is around $55 per coupon [min 3] and Thai Air is $169 for three.

Good mate.
I am travelling in the other direction on my next trip
But yes, will be catching a cab to BKK Airport then an AA flight to PHK. Then a flight from PHK back to Australia.
