Phuket - Manila which Airline

I have been trying to see if I could fly to Manila for a few days when in Thailand to visit some friends there!!

Which is the best airline to get there from Phuket???? Also looking for reasonable price of flight return. I was quoted $653 USD from Phuket to Manila, change in Singapore with Singaporeair.com That is a bit more than I wanted to pay!!!!!!

Any ideas fellow BM's???????

If you want Manila specifically then have few options,

HKT-BKK-MNL

HKT-KUL-MNL

HKT-SIN-MNL

HKT-HKG-MNL

These options will cost around 18k THB ($520) all in round trip - butif you could go to Clark Field (Angeles) then you could use Air Asia (via KL) or Tiger Air (Via Singapore) and the R/T price would be about 12K.

Kul - Clark (Manilla and return for about $230US but may need to overnight in KL.

HA HA Maybe Mr DK Maybe!!!!! I have many friends in the Philippines from my life on ships.... Always wanted to go, but thinking I might just go for 2-3 weeks after my next contract!

From what I have seen on Tiger and Air Asia I would need to overnight in Singapore or KL. My vacation is only 15 days with 10 of that in Phuket. So I would not have much time..... The plus side I would not need accomodation.... well maybe only a ST hotel

One of my friends is thinking of coming to Phuket diving from Philippines and would be in patong for my 1st 2 days in Patong.....

We'll have to see how it pans out over the next few weeks.. Still plenty of time until my vacation!!!! Unfortunately!

If you have no specific plans visiting either city and mongering in on your mind, I would pick Singapore. Orchard Towers has served me when I have visited. More expensive than LOS (and AC I am sure). ~4000 Baht LT.

1st Floor, Ipanema Bar. Negotiate beforehand (this is a must) and don't pay more than SGD200.

Tip 1 : the nearer it gets to closing time, the more willing the lasses are to dropping their prices as well as their knickers (nothing new here, but pricing tip follows...) S$150 (THB3,350) is usually the going rate around 2:30 - 3:00 and they will stay with you until the morning. Most will start off quoting around S$250-S$300 (one or two even higher ) - barter

Tip 2 : Try to snag a Vietnamese girl - they are in my experience easily the best.

Tip 3 : You will get asked "you can give me taxi fare ?" the next morning. S$20 is the absolute maximum you should give, even that's enough to drive them to the other side of the island. IMO S$10 is enough.

I agree with Ipanema Bar and the need to negotiate. Last time I paid S$200 for this Vietnameese bird. I took her out early (10PM) so 200 was proberbly par for the course.
