I booked for Air Asia in June Phuket - Bangkok - Phuket for two persons, I pay 2782 baht. Incredible good price, the same route with Thai for two people would be 11000 baht.

I believe Thai charge 2700 somethiing for oneway ticket for one people.

Ebookers - caution

I booked my ticket to Chaingmai from London Heathrow with Ebookers.com. No problem and cheap with Thai air. £440 approx with taxes and postage.

However I wanted to book a ticket from Bangkok to Chaingmai return for a friend and had to ring them up as you cannot book that online as it does not start in the UK. The fare was £63 return but the administration charge was £25 and the postage was a further £5.95. In other words it cost about 50% of the flight cost to ring them up.

When you book online the cost is the fare and £5.95 for the postage.

Why would you not book it on the TG website and just do an eticket, no extra charges involved.

Internal Flights

Thanks Steve. I was put off by Thai Air as they said I had to pick up the ticket in London and they would not post it. Guess what, you are right! They will do etickets on internal domestic flights. Feel a bit stupid now!

No don't feel stupid mate, just feel 25 pounds poorer.

I hope all members learn from this, never use a discount flight center at home to book anything other than flights from your home.

If you don't know how to go about something, ask here someone will know and point you in the right direction. The money you save can be used to buy the member that offered the advice a few beers.
