Singapore-Phuket

Hi,
Was searching for various flight options from Singapore to Phuket and found Jetstar and Tiger airways are the best option. So wanted to ask that can i buy the ticket easily at the Singapore airport for any of the above airlines as i dont know when i'll depart from there until i reach Singapore. What does you all think?

As far as I am aware, with Tiger you cannot buy tickets other than on the internet. As for Jet Star I am led to believe it's the same - this is why their ticket prices are so cheap, they have no "shop" overheads and just concentrate on maintaining their websites and call centre.

To find out for sure, I suggest you contact them by email and ask.

OK got this from the Tiger airways website :

Ease of Bookings
24-hour online booking: Book online at our website at any time. Just select your travel requirements to proceed with the reservation.

Ticket counters at airports: Tiger Airways currently operates nine ticket counters located in Singapore, Macau, Clark, Guangzhou, Haikou, Shenzhen, Ho Chi Minh, Padang, and Phuket airports (for same day travel ticket sales).

still trying to find about jetstar, let me know if you find some info about it.

Sorry, I have no info on Jetstar.

I used Tiger to fly to Phuket last November. Although I booked my flight through Internet, I noticed also that they have a sales counter in Singapore too. You have to go to the new Budget Terminal at Changi, which is basically one big hall and you will spot it easily. Success.

A good airline run by Singapore Airlines.

Here is their website link-:

Unless you can get a ticket on a special offer, Silk Air is quite expensive compared to Tiger Airways. But you have a point, Dawsey. Nothing wrong with Silk Air at all. I used them a few years ago.

I think they have 3 flights a day to Phuket. Advantages are that the times are better. Especially when you look for a connecting flight to follow on your intercontinental flight. Also they use the main terminal and not the Budget Terminal.

By the way, Tiger Airways belongs to Singapore Airlines as well.

SilkAir is part of Singapore Airlines, that's why they are more expensive, not low cost carrier group.

I was up at the Budget terminal a couple of weekends ago and couldn't see any Tiger Airways counter (apart from check-in) - it must be well hidden.

It would be even better if they flew that route.
Sure you did not fly with a subsidiary airline or someone else?
