What if the give you a room on the 7th floor?
You can visit the revolving observation deck for 120 baht and for 200 baht more you can have a buffet lunch.

Go for the view on the observation deck. Forget about the buffet, food is not that great and it feels like eating in a cantine.
Hotel, if you get a great deal, why not. But I guess there are better places/deals in town.

Stayed there 4 times in between 67-77 floors i think and will be there again next month.Exellent views and good area right outside pratunum markets and around 20 min to nana, patpong.Lobby is on the 18 floor so you need 2 lifts to get to your room. The rooms are huge and the obsservation deck is worth a look.Good food and joiner is around 800 by memory.the gym is also very good and the pool is ok...

There is virtually no night life, bars restaurants etc. around this hotel so unless you want to taxi it each night for entertainment or pay hotel prices for drinks, meals etc. there are a lot of better places to stay then this hotel.
Pratunam market is a dump which is hardly worth visiting.
