7 hours in Hong Kong?

So I have a 7 hour layover in Hong Kong on my way back, is there anything I can do close to the airport? I don't really care what, massage, shopping anything other than sit in the airport for 7 hours before I get on the plane to fly for 11 hours home. Actually would love to find a cool place to pick up cheap electronics??

Thanks and see you all in 5 days..

There are trains from the airport to the western harbor crossing of Kowloon. Every 15 minutes or so. From there you can take a ferry to Hong Kong Island, go shopping in the southern Kowloon area or take the subway up to Mong kok for a "massage".
Only been there once, so I am sure others can give you many more options.

OK first question is what time is your layover. If you are landing late at night, then I would head straight to airport hotel and get some zzz.s

HKIA is very easy to get to and from, express train runs every 12 minutes and takes 24 minutes to get to Hong Kong Central.

For ideas of what to do check out the tourist boards website http://www.discoverhongkong.com

Cheap electronics - in Mongkok or my preference is Wanchai Computer Mall (next to Wanchai MTR station).
Camera gear go to Stanley Street in Central.
General shopping head to Times Square in Causeweay Bay.

Thanks for the info, I land in Hong Kong on a Saturday afternoon at 4:45Pm and don't leave till 11:40PM Saturday night.

Son't really feel like sleeping would like to head out and check some stuff out. I will head to Mongkok, seems liek I can do most things there. Is 6 hours enough time to get out spend a couple hours looking around and then get back and check in?

Thanks!

Remember it could take you sometime from when you land to when you leave the airport say an hour leave airport at 1745hrs then you normally need to check in 2 hours before you fly 2140hrs so you may not even have 4 hours spare .

It shouldn't be a problem!
Can you check your bags straight through? If so then its easy. The transit area is right by immigration - if you haven't already got your boarding card get it now! Its now before 6pm, you have cleared immigration & customs. At the Travelex office at customs get yourself some HK Dollars, now buy yourself a ticket for the airport express (100 HK$). You will be in Mongkok by 7pm. If you get the 10pm train from Kowloon you will have plenty of time to clear the formalities and get to your boarding gate. In that time check out the cheap electronics at Mongkok mall (know your prices back home & the xchange rate), go for a massage, have a meal and get back to the airport.
