I get the impression that it's you who is having difficulty understanding. Tell me the difference between...
"...what he's saying, it's gone from no joiner fee to 2,000baht for a night !!"
and
"...Before it was 700 baht and for good customer (me) free. Now it's 2000 baht without exception..."
Same same but different ??

If you are not clever enough to follow the conversation;there is no need to answer.

It's not an answer, it's a question. I'm confused as well
If the management did not answer your question, then it would have been safer to have booked elsewhere. Thais like to have things unclear - 'cos then they can take advantage of the situation.

It seems you are peeved cos you had special treatment before and now you are being treated just like an ordinary customer... maybe they changed management, were giving out too many "special guest" favours etc.....
This happens in all walks of life... You book a hotel and the room you booked is not available so they upgrade your room... would you expect this the next time also, cos it happened in the past??

sir. I do appreciate the fact that you've reported this hassle you went through your last staying in seaview hotel, your report about it will really be usefull for those to come. I do understand that there was some misunderstanding,or misleading e'mail exchange in between you and the hotel manager, I am not going to judge it, nor blame any of you two, although reading your report as an outsider,it seems to me that your beating on it too hard, you've been putting to much anger in this conversation,I hate to say it, but seems that there is nothing but hate about a place you stayed several times in a row,and now suddenly it has become the worst hotel to stay in the world, this is just because you had to pay a 2 k joiner fee, to wich you had never paid before, and now seems to be a big deal of money, wich compared to the 900 or more euros you paid for the room itself for a short vacation, is nothing but nuts,I suppose that the hotel changed policy, and started being more family orientated,I reccon that the joiner fee is not a law,but a rule, in which some hotels have adopted some have not,the best thing to do is to desert it nex time your over, do not get bothered with it, put your hate aside, and start thinking about your next trip.to us it is already enough to know that seaview has changed its policy and has become family orientated.this will for sure keep us away from it.cheers
