Aeroflot

For my next trip to BKK I found a quite good priced ticket by aeroflot but I read many bad comments about this airline and about Sheremetyevo airport too. I'm worried overall because I have only 65 minutes to change the plane in Moscow.
Anybody has any experience fliying by Aeroflot?
Thank you very much.

I started a thread a few days ago: Aeroflot for Free -- or -- Another for a Fee where some BM's gave comments.

landofsmiles posted a link to a "Passenger Opinion" site in that thread. From what I can read on that site high marks are given for in-flight service and very bad marks when it comes to luggage handling. Facilities and check-in get mixed comments.

Came back to Amsterdam yesterday from Sheremetyevo-2 and again I really wonder why this airport can function at all. What a mess and in my view still working with the old style Soviet way of "service" etc.

Yesterday, I faced a 5 hour delay caused by the KLM plane that had to land in Copenhagen (3 hrs) due to a technical problem and also because of bad logistics and radar functioning at Sheremetyevo-2 (another 2 hrs).

Haven't flown with Aeroflot for a few years as I refused to use them due to a couple of bad experiences, but I heard the have improved a lot.

How was your in-flight experience?

As for Aeroflot, my experiences go back some 3-4 years. Lousy food, broken chairs and grumbling cabin staff. I flew with them using old Tupolev 154 and also Boeing 737.

Well, I also feel that KLM is going down. At least on the European routes. Although we got an € 8.00 voucher for a drink, there was not any sign of extra attention from the cabin crew. Just a little cardbox box with some crackers and a small salad. That's all. Not even some decent food to compensate for the delay. I do realize that it may be a bit hard to organize, but noting! Result: many grumbling passengers.

I do not know, if it is better on their flights to Asia. For example, do they have induvidual monitors for entertainment and how if the food?

I misread your post.
When you said you came back 'from' Moscow, I read it as 'via' Moscow and assumed it was your recent trip to LOS.

Don't worry. I flew Aeroflot 4 or 5 times and to Moscow v.v. only. But always whe I fly to the Far East, I prefer to use Asian Airlines, as their service is way much better IMHO then that from the more well known European Airlines.

But while searching for my September trip, I noticed that KLM seems to have the cheapest price on the dates I intend to fly and it is too long ago to know how their intercontinental flight are these days in economy.

Anybody any advice?
