Hotels at Xmas

I have already booked a flight for Xmas and New Year which is the hard bit usually.

I am just trying to book the Banthai at Xmas where I usually stay each year and they have emailed to say that they are already full and the price has gone up again.


I really like getting away from Europe each year at this time, but I have seen that the demand for Hotels has really risen over the past couple of years.

There are a lot of new rooms planned for Kata and Kalim and some new Hotels are planned for that Retailing Oasis (or should it be mirage) Jungcelon, but I am not sure that they will be ready in time.

American Trailer Homes RV's for Hire might be the answer.

No more having to beat the Germans for a towel by the Pool at 6am each day, simply drive onto the beach the night before and wake up with your own huge Sun Longer, with built in Shower and Huge Mini Bar for your cold drinks, and fancy a snack, then no problem just pop into you Mobile Looooom with it built in Kitchen.

Think what you would save on Tuk Tuks

GF friendly, no need to fine yourself each night or offend your guest.

Don't like the Room/View you stayed in last night, simply drive to a new part of the Island and park up.

Sadly the nearest I have seen to these is that VW Bettle that used to park up on the beach Road at Night selling drinks as a Bar near Rock City.

could ask the MIB if you can park it on bangla just opposite Soi Eric....could rent it out for plenty of ST action for the BMs and you could share the profit with the brown bombers.....
