Japanese in Patong?
Hi all,
I live in Japan and planning another trip to Patong soon. Last time I saw lots of yummy young Japanese girls and I was wondering if anyone knows what hotels are popular with them in Patong. I can assure you my intentions are not honourable
I'm googling in Japanese but nothing coming up yet.

Cheers Marc, that was quick.
George, well they can be - if you speak Japanese. My experience is that many of them want a holiday fling but most Japanese can't manage the simplest of conversations in English. Last time I met up with another guy travelling from Japan and he'd scored straight away. The Royal Paradise rings a bell, that might be where he stayed.
I picked up a Japanese girl in Canada once (I'm an Aussie), I didn't let on that I spoke Japanese and the four girls quite happily discussed who was interested in me not realising I was taking it all in! I am sure Thai speaking farangs do the same thing.
I just checked airfares, they are double what I paid 2 years ago, Patong Villa has put their prices up 25% and the Baht is up from 2.5 to 4 against the yen. This isn't looking so promising ...

Well that's the source of endless debate amongest foreigners here. There are bars termed gaijin bars that are supposedly easy to pick up the local sluts but normal girls are not so easy. Many Japanese girls are interested in meeting foreigners and so striking up a conversation can be really easy, but most foreign guys are clueless. Being confident, smilley and talkative are seen as positives in foreign men, but so many times I've seen guys doing well and then blowing it by getting all touchy and this totally repels the girls instantly and they're off to get their train home. Japanese absolutely don't show affection in public. Much like Thai girls.

Just walk along the beach in the morning while they are out scouting for beach boys. See if you can steal them away

Thanks guys but it probably doesn't matter.
I've just looked into prices and I think it's too expensive. I've stayed in the Patong Villa bungalows several times but their price has gone up B1500->1900; Airfares Tokyo->Phuket are double (45,000->90,000yen); and the weak yen (1baht=2.5yen->4yen). Even if I get a cheaper hotel, say B800, daily expenses over two weeks are going to hurt and I don't want to be worried about money all the time.
Money is already tight at home, but I haven't had a holiday for years. I'm an Aussie and haven't been to the beach in over 2 years.

Heh perhaps one or two of the guys on here could sponsor your trip, its like only a few thousand bahts per day to sort a good time from a tight time for you, come on guys you keep saying 'heck its only a little money to me'
Ante up time for a good cause.
But nearly forgot Atomu, the deal then is you have to go live back in some obscure northern village and wait until your annual holiday entitlement comes round again before you can come out to play again!! not such a good idea!! well I tried for ya.

From wikipedia:
"Despite its status as the 8th most populated city in Japan, it [Kawasaki] is often seen to lack an identity (and certainly a true city centre) of its own, due to the fact that it is effectively part of the huge Tokyo-Yokohama conurbation.
that's my home
Sweet home Kawasaki.

This thread has degenerated to me having to defend my home city???!!!!
That wiki quote is spot on. Kawasaki has the industrial area, home of Kawasaki Heavy Industries who build motorbikes, the port area and the rest is just homes for people who work in Tokyo - like me. Absolutely no reason to come here, unless you are visiting me
So you see why I need a holiday?
Honda is a very common family name but can't work out where the name Yamaha came from.

Well the beaches here aren't very nice. I've been dating a Thai girl in Japan so a Japanese girl in Thailand makes sense. Right?
You guys are going to love this: I used to live in ... Toyota. Yeah have a good laugh at that one.
