Cool Firefly Billing Alert

CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNT IF YOU HAVE BOUGHT TICKETS FROM FIREFLY

It has happened to BOTH me and Simbo.

Firefly when you buy on line print out the price in Thai Baht.Then they billed my UK bank account with that same figure in My Ringit!!

My flight price was 4628 Thai Baht but they billed my account 4628 Rgt which works out at 642 Pounds Sterling.

We have both contacted Firefly to correct their "mistake"??????

Thats bad, they charge 10 times more than the actual price. Can you choose to see the amount in RM instead when booking?

Anyway, better be careful with firefly for the time being.

Cool Reply and appology

Today I received a reply from Firefly.They have appologised for the error and promised to reimburse the money.

Apparently their auto billing system was not set up correctly and they are now going to get it sorted.At least they have already admitted their mistake so I now only have to wait for repayment.

have you got your money back yet? Im thinking of booking some tickets with firefly, so would be nice to know if they have sorted out the problem...

Talking Firefly repaid the money

I checked with my bank and Firefly repaid the amount they owed so I am happy.

I found their service was OK for a short hop and now that this glitch is sorted will use them again in future trips.

Nice to see the company reacted quickly with the refund Crusty. Good customer service goes a long way for repeat sales.

Still waiting for my refund but VISA have put a blocker on the original amount, which should sort things short term.

Finally got my moneyu refunded. However, it was at a different rate so the normal ticket appros sterling 60 has in fact cost me sterling 98. I am in discussion with Firefly at the moment over this but buyers beware at the moment- this could mess up your day as well
