Areca Lodge bookings standard rooms and deluxe ones ?

I just tries to book 3 days in the areaca lodge i wanted the deluxe room but it seems there fully booked they offered me a standrad room for 1000 baht which is cheap , Just want to make sure the standard room is not to small .

does anyone know the difference between the rooms in terms of size etc etc,???? i know the deluxe ones have a pool view which is nice i need a room safe as a must .

also sawadee.com said they would only take a deposit but seem to want me to pay the entire total cost on my credit card is this standard procedure ????

I was thinking to book direct with areca.

any help appreciated

and yes i have searched !

I just stayed there last week. I believe that the only difference between deluxe and standard is the pool view. I had a deluxe room. The safe was very small and did not allow for any computer, but plenty fine for my other valuables.

Areca is a great value and the couple of little gripes that I had would not prevent me from staying there again.
- There is only cold water at the sink (but great shower)
- Towels are small as stamps. I bought two huge ones for 220 baht each and had then cleaned for 20 baht.
- The only have wireless when the feel like connecting it. Always disconnect at 6 PM.

All in all great hotel, good location and the staff is A1.

I've stayed in the standard room twice & did not find it small, I would book that room again no problem.

Too hot in the boiling sunshine to go too far to a gym in Pattaya. I wouldn't walk more than 10 minutes from Areca to go to the gym. I just did push-ups in the bedroom and at the bottom of the Areca pool.

I was doing 12 ounce curls all evening and then most of the nights holding her over my face for exercise.

Areca gym is old and antiquated but does have some free weights and a nice sauna.

Rooms are the same size but standard room does not have safe or pool view.

not going to cost you a lot for 3 days to do the deluxe room if you want a safe.

If you do not need pool and want to be in the middle of the action on Walking Street then stay at Secrets next to Secrets Bar near the intersection of Soi 14 and 15 off of Walking Street.

no the deluxe rooms are sold out thats the problem , i dont really want to stay in the middle of action jus cos theres really no need for me to do that actions everywhere.

I was thinking of mabye staying in the sabai lodge in soi 2 they have baht buses going up and down at night and at 10 baht right to walking street and no sweating involved i think i may end up here, can u walk to soi 5 and 6 from soi 2??? also big c is there too, any recomendations for this place

Always got two large enough towels and two small ones everyday(cleaning lady will give extra if asked)...

correct

I have stayed in both standard+ superior rooms and basicly the diff is that you get free tea+coffee in superior..
Same size etc
About the in room safe in standard room...2 out of 3 times that i stayed in standard room i got a safe...Its the luck of the draw i suppose..
Safe in superior is exactly the same size...
I always book through their website as well..

www.arecalodge.com

I think they take a 3000b dep for the room from your cc.
If you want the phone number pm me...

Photo of standard room attached...

The Residence Garden. Beautiful 1 and 2 bedroom hotel suites in Pattaya and Jomtien.

Baht buses drive past every few minutes I would say it is closer to Walking Street than Areca Lodge.....

Just a little bit further to the beach tho!

Although Areca Lodge is closer to soi 6

i am very particular about hotels and usually only stay in luxury hotels and i will say that Areca is by far the best value i have ever recieved for the money
