Ive never stayed at bills..but Ive had many a mid afternoon beer there..met the man a few times but finally got to meet him 1 on 1 last trip for the first time ..If I didnt like my regular dos pot so much I think the summer breeze would certainly be my hotel of choice..Bill seems straight up to me and the hotel seems to reflect the same image! Sorry Bill I am a good mate of Rells..wink wink!

Pool was fun. They're building a hotel beside it so there was a lot of banging (hammers). This was in May but at the rate this was being built, it probably still going on. I use to lie there watching the workers. 4 stories up in barefeet on scafolding. Not a hard hat on the whole job. The food is good and inexpensive at the pool.

Last time I stayed in a standard room with no outside window. There was a window on the hall. When I pulled the drape, you couldn't tell if it was day or night. I'd sleep till noon. I liked using my laptop with the free wifi. Keeping track of the world. Watch DVD's before going out at night. All the latest movies are available on the street for 100 baht.

There's also some pretty good food to be had from the street vendors on Soi Sansabai late at night when you're staggering home. There's one lady who has a Pad Thai cart that she usually sets up right outside the Summer Breeze. Plate of Pad Thai for just 35 baht. Settles in surprisingly well with a belly full of beer.

Plan a night in LA on arrival from BKK on Thai. You're in to late to make any connections and it's hell going through customs, picking up your bags and getting to your next gate (terminal). You need a minimum of 2hrs between flights.

Rooms at Summer Breeze are good and, more importantl Bill, his wife and staff make damn sure you have a good holiday.
Cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in in Asia.

I meant both!! Cathy is a real gem and Bills wife does brighten up the place with her welcoming smile when she is there!

Great place. Just returned and had such a great time at SB. Bill is a great guy. Everyone at SB was awesome! Very very clean hotel. Never stayed at a cleaner hotel in my life. I am sure I will be praising this hotel more in the coming weeks as I gather my thoughts from my trip(just returned home last night and have so much to get sorted today).

Will stay here again...hopefully very soon!
