Accomodation under 1000 Bath in Patong
Hello guys,
Any suggestion for a good place for a long stay (7weeks) in December & January? Would prefer a quiet place with AC and terrace.
Cheers

Not only high season but also peak high season, i think you will struggle, i turned up on xmas eve 2 years ago and managed to get a cupboard with a bed that just fitted inside for 1600.
but good luck with your search, i am not saying its impossible but if you do find one, please tell everyone about it.

I actually found such a place last year but they are rebuilding now. You have to book in advance for a nlong stay for getting low prices.

Possible
You might get something near that at Vises Hotel on Sainanyen Road.There have been other posts about it so you might find it on search.
Other than that there are some small guest houses on Phisit Koranee Road which might do.One is Thai Corner Bar and is Swedish owned.

On the very first page of the Accommodation page here, there is a thread called "Hotel for VERY budget traveller". And another one called "Cheap but good accommodation". I am sure you read them. What did you think of those suggestions?
Anyway, here are a few options:
* Paripas Mansion
* Ferb Guesthouse (Swedish?)
* Vech Guesthouse
* Little Buddha Guesthouse

December and January are peek season, so difficult to find a room with AC and terrace below 1000 baht.
In any case I can recommend
Thai Basecamp-Phuket- Budget Accomedation- Diving - Free internet
I had a great fan room there for one month in December/January 2006/2007, also AC rooms there, but no terrace.

Does C and N have a swimming pool or do they use the same pool as Summer Breeze?

They have no pool, but you can use the pool at C&N Resort for free.
They do not have a agreement with the pool that Summer Breeze have, so if you want to use that pool you have to pay.

I believe Rattana Hill is the one on the first bend going up the hill on Ha Sip Pee Road from Montes Bar end.It is a little out of the way but would be all right if you can get the price you want.
Please remember that the places we are talking about are currently offering low season deals.This will not be the case in peak season.

Thank you Crusty,
Thats the one. It is in a rather quiet place but it seems that nobody has any experience of staying there.

The Patong Inn hotel is right on the beach and very cheap. No terrace, but some beach front rooms have a big window looking out onto the beach that you can open, almost like a terrace. It is across the street from the beach so you will have the noise from traffic but for cheap you're not going to get on the beach. Plus it is only a 2 min walk from Bangla road.
