Portable DVD player

I have been tempted to buy a portable DVD player for long flights. I have a new 15" laptop but it's really just too big to use in economy class unless the seat next to you is empty. Has anyone bought one that they can recommend. I would like a 10" or 11" screen & battery life is important. They seem to be coming down in price in the UK but are there any bargains to be had in BKK as I will be there in November.

If you are someone who likes to obtain movie/TV content from the internet, I would recommend getting one which has "DivX" playback capability.

I don't have a specific model to recommend, but my experience has been that LG handle this functionality very well - so maybe start your search there.

I bought a Goodmans about 2 years ago with an 8" screen from Dixons.

It was only about 100 quid BUT it came with a spare battery which is ideal for the those long flights!

I now use my Mac instead with spare battery...

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I am tempted to buy a smaller laptop (say 12"). Only problem is that they are more expensive (Sony / Toshiba for £1200 - 1300) than conventional size laptops. I've had a look on the internet and Philips do some 8" and 10" portable players with good battery life for between £100 and £200, so I will check those out.
