Phuket Thailand

I'm travelling from the U.S. in August to Bangkok and then Phuket and have been scowering the internet for a cheap flight, anyone got any tips? The lowest I have found is travelocity, but they're carging $200 more than my last flight in April.....really would apprecite any advice.

U.S-BKK or BKK-Phuket?
Domestic flights i think Air Asia is cheapest.

U.S. to Bangkok is the flight I'm having trouble finding at a decent rate.

Any certain dates in mind? I did a light search from LAX-BKK on Travelocity and came up with $633 as the lowest fare on Phillipine A/L's. Maybe better deals from Los Angeles instead of LAS, or are you only considering Las Vegas?

Its got to be from LAS and I need it during August, which is what I'm having trouble with. Most of the flights I check on travelocity either will not allow most any days in August or they are really expensive.

I flew through travelocity on United in April from LAS to BKK for $650.
I know I probably will not get that deal, but something comparable would be nice.

I checked from 15 Aug to 30 Aug. Lowest fare I found was $1040 (UAL).My advice: Keep your eyes open for any specials from LAS-LAX, AND from LAX-BKK. Maybe you can string together two specials to make one trip. It's a little work, but it also looks like you have nothing to lose at this point.
