Hey hows it going?
Me and my buddy from Canada are going to be coming down to phuket for sometime, arrive in like early November. And we were wondering what the cost is for rent like per month to get a house or villa, we dont want to spend alot of money budget would be nice, but any ideas would be great thanks

November.. For how long..

Month by month for a min 6 months then you can start to haggle.. Less and its vacation rentals which are very much higher than makes sense IMO.

umm we are not to sure of how long we are staying prob 3 months or so, dont have no planned date of when to be back.

Budget house/villa doesn't really exist in patong, better off with a room in a complex probably on Nanai

I found my place in Surin through a website called Holiday-Velvet, they are based in London, UK and they were pretty helpful to me.

Expensive... could be, but if you have a few people together then the price obviously comes down as you split it between you.

3 months is enough time to find a short stay apartment or pay over the odds for a short let home.. Tho Nov for 3 months is the peak and when house rentors know they are in full control..

I know of a really nice 2 bed home with TV (think cable) and wifi for IIRC 25.. Quality furnishing etc. But I really doubt he would take a 3 month tennant for nov / dec / jan for less than 40 or so and its not worth that. Thats just a regular (but nice) 2 bed terrace house. If your talking 'villa' around Patong then the price really does rise VERY fast.

When you think you can get a nice clean room with maid service and a pool for 9k ish per month its hard to see the value for someone who isnt so resident to move up to the villa market.
