~ a 15 min stroll from Banana to Expat - not worth 100 Baht (at best) tuk-tuk ride.

You must be a smooth talker. Last time we tried to do a similar distance it was 200.
I think the stroll could take a bit longer as there is a lot to distract you between Expat and Banana

Yeah, the price was rising before the one way system. Now its a great excuse to charge more. But tuk tuk prices seem to in 50baht increments, never a 10/20 baht rise.

with the one way system now (at night with no access to bangla) the tuk tuk would have to take you all the way down Rat-U-Thid and then turn around back onto beach rd way down past banana and come back up.....could take 15-20 mins to get around that with traffic
you would have to be crazy not to walk it......absolutely agree with you Bono...that one way sysetem is now very suited to a bht bus system as used in Patts!!!.....why doesn't the bloody governor introduce it!!!

As I always take up resident at C&N hotel, I really enjoy the short walk from there to Banana. It's less than 10mins walking distance just like Expat hotel, but sometimes it might take you way longer depending on the eye candies who finds you a handsuum man.
