320 mill. $ bucks per aircraft...wow ...serious money. (that's what I heard with my left ear, but I could be wrong).
I really look forward to enter the 380 for the first time at some point in future.

Read on Changi Website there will be another terminal soon, Terminal 3 opening Jan 08.
Wow, really expanding.
I think that's the price of the aircraft, but wont know the actual amount since Airlines buy so many of them.

yes they look superb
like a carriage on the orient express train
i suppose you could have some fun in there with the wife
i think it would get a bit clostrophobic in such a small space; i would rather have a go in business class and have the interaction with the staff serving you with drinks etc.
even the economy seats look great with huge tv screens
i read somewhere that they will only fly from London to Singapore as they need an extra large runway to land and take off
shame about that as flights from Manchester to Singapore are really handy for me.
still i might save my Singaporeair Kris miles for an upgrade from economy to business and try and go next xmas.
Regards
Drew

I flew on the 380 last week outta Sydney.
I can confirm, it's as good as what all the write ups say about it.......It still had the "new car smell" about it.
I was also fortunate enough to have 4 seats to myself.....albeit, in cattle class.
There is definitely more leg room as opposed to a 747.
When you tilt the seat back, the seat part under your **** also slides forward.....The seats are a bit wider & IMO are a bit firmer than the 747's.
The entertainment systems are brilliant.
You have power points in each armrest to charge your electrical gadgets.
The seat backs even have cup holders, so if you're using your laptop you can still have your drink in front of you.
The tv screen is bigger than before & the remote control is even more user friendly & movies load even quicker than before.
The tv thingy can also be used as a computer, as there is a miniature keyboard attached to the remote control....also has a usb & lan socket on the rear of the headrest near the screen....too technical for me....But I think you can upload pics to it & do pdf's, word stuff etc.

that's nothing new... you can also have this on other (airbus) aircrafts
well, i think i must wait till Thai Air gets it A380... what i've heard is that they will fly FRA-BKK and LHR-BKK instead of the old B747 with it!

Yes Frank it was SQ, as Nacha pointed out.
I was chatting with a mate earlier & he was telling me about Boeing's new plan to build a 1000 passenger aircraft now.

Strange...
When Airbus started the 380 Boeing said there was no need for that... and now they think about a 1000 passenger plane.
And when Boeing started their dreamliner, Airbus said that it was a wrong decission for the future... but then they started developing their own dreamliner.
When you try to get a ticket on the 747 FRA-BKK, it is fully booked months in advance, so hope it will be better with the 380... but it will worsen immigration in BKK.

Yes am not an expert, scared flying (alternative is staying home, which I like even less), but with the seat configuration that plane will have (20/30 across?) I wonder how they will organise the emergency exits.
