Yeah I've seen cheaper.........When it was Jetstar's 3rd b/day they had a promo where ya brought 1 ticket (full price) & the 2nd ticket was only $3 more.
The price you are quoting is certainly good value & won't be beaten.

I've used them once & that was enough.

I'm happy to pay more than double that price, to travel with Singapore Airlines.

It would have to be a pretty bad experience to 'happily' fork out an extra $700 or so for a flight.

I presume the plane landed safely or else you wouldn't be writing this post! That tends to be my #1 consideration. Then at #2 comes not losing my luggage. #3 is being as close as possible on schedule. Everything else is largely unimportant in the grand scheme of things.

Poor humour, considering recent events IMO.....

I flew there last Aug and it was a great flight ( i smartly booked the exit row) so i had enough room (leg and otherwise) to fit a reffo family of 6, one of the stewardesses had the hots for me and brought me free ice cream and wanted to hook up with me in BKK - i cant complain about that at all , everything was on time and didnt lose any bags ( they even let me take 22kgs back (20 being the limit) and didnt charge me for it) so id recognise Jet Star to anyone

2 Questions - When was that for? And who was that booked through? If you.

I flew home with them last tour and thought it was ok...mind you, I slept from the time i reached my seat until we landed - Big time in LOS.

Lighten up. Wasn't even in my mind when I penned the post. But let me know how long the statue of limitations is before we can ever make tangential references to air safety on this forum again. Thanks.

Totally agree. My experiences have been good. I just booked with them for April got it for $590 from Sydney. I just couldn't resist the price. Although I did get a cheaper fare with Thai airlines to BKK for the upcoming trip in November than Jetsar had on offer. Songkran here I come.

The only thing I don’t like about Jetstar is the dates the flights are there only a flight every 3 days or something like that.

They are selling 1 million seats cheaply until 22 Oct.

"We have 1 million seats on offer, to a huge range of Australian and International destinations, all at sale prices. This massive sale is on now until midnight (23.59 AEST) Monday 22 October 2007, unless sold out prior. Sale is on selected days and flights only and exclude school and public holidays. Book your seats now!

Travel periods are:
15 January - 18 March 2008
29 March - 25 June 2008
22 July - 31 August 2008 (selected destinations only)*

SYD-HKT & MEL-BKK $299 + taxes"

I've made 3 return trips with them (SYD-HKT) and have booked them again for Dec/Jan. I have no major complaints, but I do travel 'Starclass'.

that's dirt cheap!! (about 355€)
just to compare: how long do you fly from Sydney?
The cheapest I can find here is 550€ to 600€ from Brussels (Belgium) to BKK, that's a 12 hour flight (most of the time with a stop over in some arabian country)

Hi guys,

This is special for our dutch speaking BM's. Today I found a piece of news that sounds interresting for people near Amsterdam. It's in Dutch..... but it says...... In 2009 Jet Star is thinking of starting cheap flights between Amsterdam and Asia. 'Goedkope vluchten tussen Amsterdam en Azië'

I found the article also in English: FT.com / Companies / Transport - Jetstar to launch Europe service

Cheers,

Raval

I just did the same quote leaving 17th April, $498.80, it has dropped even further.

I am leaving from Melb and it is $591 for the same date.

We missed the boat MC...on the Jetstar home page they had a 1 million seat sale (top of page)...all the flights to Thailand have gone by the looks of it.

Just signed up to receive emails...hopefully this helps me in the future.

They have flights from Sydney to a few locations still...

The sudden drop in airfares from Jetstar should continue because of the appearence of Air Asia X flying out of the Gold Coast to KL and beyond .AAX had an opening special to KL for $100.00 including fees and taxes each way . At the moment they are offering $213.00 each way KL taxes included so then its just a cheap fair to LOS. Tiger is also starting out of Gold Coast and have great deals to Singapore and beyond. Thus Jetstars cheap flights may be here to stay.

Regards

A Qantas flight attendant told me she had only had sex twice, once with the football team and once with the supporters.
