Limousine service from Bangkok to Pattaya?

Sorry guys.

No luck with the search engine and the thread update has made it hard for me to find a thread on the subject.

My flight will probably be arriving in Bangkok too late for a coach to Pattaya. After clearing customs it'll probably be atleast 8.30pm on a Sunday.

Does anyone have the link to a good Limousine company?

Is it as or more economical than a cab?

Can a limousine client hook up with another traveller to make the ride cheaper per person?

Thanks.

Are you in LOS or is there something wrong with the date stamps on the posts? Looks like you posted this 7 hours ago.

When I first saw the title on this thread, I thought it was Bangkok to Phuket by limousine. Thought that was a bit weird, that it would be expensive, would take a while, but might be an interesting trip.

To anyone who has not used the limo services in LOS, be advised that they are not limo services. In other words, you will not be riding in a limousine, when hiring their services. You will most likely be riding in the back seat of some kind of tiny Japanese sedan, smaller than a Camry, in most cases. Limo service in LOS has nothing to do with actual limousines! It just means a private car with a driver.

Good point. I used this particular service from Padang Basar to Phuket. They sent 2 drivers is a 'brand new' SUV. Nothing stretch ... but a nice ride.

New SUV is impressive! Are all there cars that good? I might have to hire them, if so.

On 2nd thought, are you talking about Mr. Toom's or Phuket Airport Limousine & Business Co-Operative?

That was the "VIP Limo". I used them one other time from Phuket Airport when I hired a "Normal Limo". At that time it was a Camry. Other than that I do not know anything about their fleet.

... another thing I remember about this company, they were very good about communication (English quite bad though). I received reminders and quick replies.

OK, then you didn't mean Mr. Toom's. I think the VIP limo (new SUV) would cost a bit more than the regular "limo" from the airport or BKK to Pattaya. Not the quoted 1200 Baht.

Go back to my first post on this matter when I replied to nkped and his question about the cost of a limo to Phuket.

I referenced this site: Phuket Airport Limousine & Business Co-Operative - Tours in Phuket, Thailand, a Phuket based service.
Nothing at all to do with Mt Toom in Pattaya.
I guess the confusion is that this threads title is Bangkok to Pattaya.

On the other hand, even it it was Bangkok to Pattaya you shouldn't get too exited about the quoted price of 13-15,000 baht. If so, I would consider the Pattaya Penthouse Champagne Limo (Kitten Club - Pen Pals) at 15K

Yes, that point is worth making again.

I mentioned earlier in the thread that we're travelling with The Limo Pattaya company this time, and these are the cars they've got listed on their website.

Just following up on this for Critical Mass and others.

I was very pleased with the service from "The Limo Pattaya".

Their website booking service was prompt (reply within 24 hours), the driver was there well ahead of time, the car was pretty damn good (late-model Honda Accord - better than cars I've had with other companies providing this service) and importantly, the driver didn't drive like a maniac yet we still seemed to make very good time to Pattaya!

As always, have a print-out of the name of your hotel and its address with you, preferably in Thai if possible.
