need help on hotels for dec

ive been to patong once last oct and stayed in rooms which where cheap and nice rooms @ 500 a night,it was on the second road from the beach and right beside like a chipshop or a burger shop.
anyone any ideas on names to recover my memory?longshot

im basically looking something resonably cheap but nice aswell and girl friendly can anyone recommend me some places as ill need to book it soon im sure

Sorry to put a downer on your budget but you can't really have "december" and "500 baht a night" in the same sentence.

That's by the Fire Station. Sure if you come back that far from the beach and into Nanai Road too you 'll get rooms for 500 or 600 a night even in december. There's at least 5 new guesthouses just completed or opening within the next few weeks in Nanai...certain to be looking for new customers.

Sounds to me that this accommodation is a fair tuk-tuk ride from Bangla. So you same some money on the sleep, but pay, say, 250 baht each way to go out for the evening. Sounds to like it would be better to pay the going rate for a guest house in walking distance to Bangla.

can walk to nightlife and beach from bottom/northern area of nanai...15mins or so I guess........if that's where the new ones are
