Hi jonny.p.I've been staying at the Salathai when I'm in Patong since 2005.Nice guest friendly hotel, quiet and scenic pool area, good food in the restaurant, friendly, helpful staff, couple of minutes walk to the beach,5-7 minutes walk to Bangla, nice breakfast buffet and airport pickup included in the price. My last stay was for Songkran(April) this year.

If the 5-7 minute walk to Bangla is not a problem, and the the price is ok,you can't go too wrong choosing this place.

I would endorse all of Mustang's previous comments. I have stayed there 3 times now and will be back there again in under 2 weeks time. I am paying 2400 baht for a standard room which is fine for a single guy. It's a good mid price hotel with good location, friendly staff, good restaurant & even WIFI (not free) in your room. It's GF and there are 3 or 4 massage shops within 2 minute walk. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I've stayed at The Salathai on several occasions including this year. I have to agree with the previous posters. You won't go wrong there. It is an efficient little hotel, reasonably priced, good location. Nice restaurant and pool area. There are a few new bars over the road now so entertainment is close at hand.

Book direct with the hotel and they will collect you from the Airport.
