AMS-BKK or AMS-Phuket for cheap

For those of you in Holland or close to Holland, who want to leave for Thailand soon and still need to book their flight, you can fly (relatively) cheap to Bangkok or Phuket with Singapore Airlines.

Other Conditions

*Includes taxes and surcharges as of 15 November 2007
No child discounts on this fare.
No refunds or changes permitted.
Maximum 1 stopover in Singapore.
Payment is by credit card only.
You will also need to make your own arrangements to obtain visas and other travel documents.
This fare can be combined with other (higher) fares but the whole itinerary remains non-accruable (i.e. no frequent flyer miles).

For further information check the SQ website at Amsterdam Bangkok Promotion - Singapore Airlines

You should be aware that cheap tickets sell fast, so it might be that the website gives you a higher price on certain days. Anyway, it is worth trying, I think.

Maybe I have helped anybody with this one.

Just watch out for connection times with Singapore. I thought I had found a real bargain with them last week and then discovered that the onward leg out of Singapore was 2 days later!

Looking at the system, their Phuket/Chiang Mai/Bangkok flights will routinely leave a full day after your international flight arrives; book with care.

The one time I used this coonection I had a lay over time at Changi of just over 2 hours.
But you are right, you always have to be cautious with special offers. Still, it is worth while checking, I suppose.
