Where can you find reasonable road maps of Thailand?

Can't wipe the grin off my face.

The planning for my next LOS holiday is well advanced.

Jetstar from MELB to BNKK.

Taxi to Bangkok for overnight stay.

Coach to Pattaya for three night stay to reacquaint with my girlfriend.

Then heading north east by rental motor vehicle to Prakhon Nakhorn, my girlfriends home town.

Problem is she doesn't really know the roads and I've never been there before.

It would be great to access something via the net, as well as getting my hands on AAA or RAC quality road maps.

Can anyone help me to source road maps of Thailand?

Need something with major highways and towns etc.

cheers.

Critical.

English language book shops have them, eg Asia books (Sukhumvit) in Bangkok.

I use Thinknet's bilingual Map of NE Thailand. Only 120 baht. Scale is 1:550,000. Small writing though so you'll need your reading glasses. They do other areas as well.

Google maps works well enough for route planning but the directions were not working last time as all place names are in Thai script.

The Thinknet maps are by far the best maps I have found for high res of small roads, you get a map and a CD application. Dont know if they are online but are available here.

Great information.

I'll need a good map to navigate north east and north Thailand.

Is petrol (gasolene) expensive at the moment?
