Korean Air Review

I have flown Korean Air so far 4 times to LOS. This was my first in coach.

Some years ago Korean earned a top status among the world airlines, but reportedly went downhill from there.
Supposedly Korean has renewed them self (slogan “The New Korean”).

I am not always the best critic for long haul as I sleep most of the way, however, when I do need service it is usually out of sequence and perhaps a better test. For example I will wake up when the cleanup is being done from the meal service and ask for food; I will need a water or wine when the cabin is quiet and everybody else is sleeping.

On this trip the service was impeccable. At no time did more than 60 seconds lapse from the time I made a call to service was provided. On one occasion an attendant with her bag obviously headed for her (union) rest gracefully stopped to help.
Further to the service I received, I also noticed world class service for other passengers.

I am no novice to the air traveling world and what I experienced this trip was possibly the best coach service I have ever received.

Nice to hear Korean Airlines exceeded your expectations. After flying just about all the North American major carriers I’ve had no expectations of service any longer. The longer the flight, they’re staffed with the older and some surly senior flight attendants. (welcome to seniority) Just a big flying bus with a pay for meal cart pushed down the aisle. I have found all the Asian carriers provided exceptional service…but have never flown Korean, so maybe in the future.

Great to hear! I will be using them on my 11 hour flight to soul before transfer to phuket. I feel a lil better. Im still worried about landing in Phuket, with the recent airport crashes. Still...great to hear....thx for the input

Crashes ... was there more than one recent crash?

Odds are that there will not be a second .... anytime soon.

That is really good to hear, as I will be making the trip to Phuket on Korean Air in January. I had read some reviews on the Seattle-Seoul-Phuket haul, but now have heard from first hand experience,,, I to will be flying coach,,
