Stayed at Jenny Guesthouse for 3 days last trip , had room at front of building (with balcony) , paid 600 Baht (just before high season came in). Excellent room , good service and pleasant staff , owned by an Italian guy. Definitely GF , safe deposit box in reception , only thing it needs is WiFi.

Would stay there again , reckon you could get a good deal if staying there in low season. Just checked web prices and they are higher than "walk-in" price , probably depends on how busy they are.

Edit: Werwolf , could you add this to the "BM's Opinions" thread.

I know one of them was/is already on the market.....Was on the market in August.
I've seen the costs etc. from the agent.
It'd be virtually impossible to make any money from it........I can see why this new owner is wanting out so quickly.
Another win for the landlord.
Should be a win for BM's too, cos they'll be cutting each others throats, to stay open.

You will just have to go to the bar when it opens and stop wondering B.

Not the bar at the end of the soi but at the rear of Jenny's (entrance via car park), is that really huge bar, (about 2/3rds the size of tiger) is it open now??

Maybe an idea to post all the guesthouses on Soi Sansabai. Including the websites if available and post as a sticky at the top of Accomodation section... I thought about this last week but I am sure there is someone out there with this kinda info at hand!

Its not in Nicke interest to advertise anyone elses business without him getting any advertising fee/booking percentage.

Im sure other sites are avaliable for booking/seeing where guesthouses are! USE GOOGLE!

Im not having a go at you Si, just trying to point out that this site is here for a reason.

Isnt it all one and the same ?? I had a shufti when I drove by the other day.. The end of it thats near baanzaan is open, not sure about the full length of it tho, it was empty when I looked anyway but dontyknow if empty = closed or empty = no customers.

Looks like it has some potential tho, just need to be discovered by a few people.

There already is sticky BM's opinions, which cover guesthouses/hotels. The good thing about it is that BM's have stayed at the places and can give an unbiased review.

A mate of mine asked me to book him into Orchid, they weren't answering his calls or responding to his emails. He's been staying there for the past two years. He then asked me to book him into Jenny Guesthouse.

Checked out the prices and found out there was a spare room in Summer Breeze (always my preference for my friends) so I booked him in there, and at 600 baht less per night than Jenny for a standard room.
