Very nice girl-friendly hotel in Patong....

I'm looking for a very nice hotel in Patong. From reading various postings,
it looks like the Holday Inn Royal Paradise, the Amari and the Impiani (on the beach) are three of the best.

Would anyone know if they are girl-friendly? Also are there any others to consider?

Thanks much.

No, no, and no. Impiana is BF, suspect that Holiday Inn doesn't even allow JF.

Would you know of any 4-5 star hotel in Patong that's girl friendly?

Also, I know it might be unusual for a couple to bring back one
or two girls but do you have any idea what the joiner fee
would be at the Impiani and if they would even allow it?

Thank you for your help.

Latest report on Impiani suggests its not G/F

Quote
Impiana Phuket Cabana
Impiana Phuket Cabana is not GF. It asks a joiner fee of 1000 Baht or more. If you check in with a lady and you stay with, her there might not be a joiner fee, but if you arrive every night with another lady they might charge you.
No complimentary airport transfer, you pay 800 baht.
I arrive Saturday in the Cabana for the 39th stay, so I should know, staying there since 1991 (no joiner fee then), been there allready 2 times this year.

Admittedly this info isn't too recent, so maybe an email to the hotel asking their guest policy might be an idea.

Don't know if this hotel is rated 4* but its pretty new ,has good reports and is guest friendly

What about the Burasari? I seem to recall that being GF? Might not be true 5-star, but their prices (5-8K Baht/night) suggest there's something good going on there.

According to the location map
Asia hotel Pattaya hotels in Pattaya Asia South Pattaya hotel Thailand map
I think you may need a TukTuk to get close to the action.

I was interested in Royal paradise also. Trolling around the net the I can’t gather whether it gf or not. I read reviews on it in asiarooms.com and the few that commented said they all got hassled re joiner fees. I sent and enquiry via their website and this is the reply. And imo not worth the risk.

Dear xxxxxx

Thank you for your interested our hotel. The hotel policy will be charged at 1,000 Baht/person/night for the joiner.

Sincerely

Patcharee S.

Yes, that is pretty standard based on my ZERO experience of choosing hotels which charge joiner fees!!

If a hotel tried to charge me 1,000 baht for a joiner I'd find another place. That's 14,000 baht over two weeks.

I'd recommend a good value hotel which acknowledges the fact that you're paying for a "double room" and are entitled to have two people in it.

I don't like taking any chances with my holiday plans.
  • Firstly, I will always book a room for two.
If you book a room priced for one person, you should expect to pay extra for a 2nd adult.
  • Secondly, I always question the hotel on their joiner policy by e-mail before booking.

Some hotels will charge various JF's (300 to 1,000 baht or more) to discourage you or they may not allow a thai joiner at all.

Other hotels allow free joiner if you've paid for a "double room", but may charge you 300 baht for the third, if you invite two girls.

Hotels such as The Areca Lodge in Pattaya are terrific in this respect. If you pay for a double room, you can have two people in it, and if your booking includes free breakfast, your joiner can eat with you.

The hotel wants your business.

Asking them their policy will give you peace of mind and allow you to concentrate on having a good time.

Don't forget to keep a copy of their positive reply should there be an issue at the desk when you arrive.

In hindsight yes. I booked everything through a Travel agent friend who booked me and my mate as a twin. Couldn't really tell her what my real intentions were.

Anyway emailed the resort and that is what they quoted. Real problem is the sharing of the room.

The plan is to arrive and seek separate rooms and split the cost between us and at the same time try and negotiate a nil joining fee.

If that doesn't work then they will lose the extra room tariff and we will not pay the joining fee either. We will seek out other accommodation for such activities.

Either way being the first trip to LOS we will have learn't something for next time.

Regards

HV.
