Where to meet advise please
I posted this in the "Good Things" thread but I think it got buried. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Normally, I just stomp through BKK, jump a cab and head for the City and consequently not really taken any notice of my surroundings. However, on the next trip in 3 days I'm meeting someone who's coming in from Kuala Lumpur on an earlier flight than me and has never used the new airport before. Can anyone give me an idea of where would be a good place to meet up once the other side of immigration. Preferably where you don't get constant mither from the limo touts etc. Is there a bar or resturant on the arrivals level outside? Or are we better meeting before immigration and coming through together? If so, again where to tell them to meet so as to be no misunderstanding.
I really must pay more attention I know, but the pull of Singha gets too strong sometimes.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I find it is easier (due to flight delays etc) to meet on the outside of immigration and baggage collection.
I always meet at StarBucks Coffee on the 3rd Floor (where all the cafes etc)
They do a good coffee and there is also an ATM and Toilet on either side of it (handy...)
Cheers

You got it.
Here is the Suvarnabhumi website which gives a tour around the airport.

I've done the meet at starbucks as well, then you can continue up to departures and grab a taxi from where there are dropping off...quick and easy than lining up downstairs.

From my point of view, if you are heading for BKK from Phuket, flying to Don Muang is a better choice. I have been to BKK two times the last two months, and the traffic from the new airport was horrible. Getting to BKK city from Don Muang was a lot smoother and quicker.
For those heading to Pattaya the new airport is ofcourse more convenient.
