Stuck in Thailand - Need help with flight info
Hello, I missed my flight home as my atm card and travel documents were lost. So now im waiting for a replacement atm card to be issued. Does anyone know of cheap flights from bkk to london, anytime after the 10th? and am I better booking online, or visiting a travel agent in Bangkok? Any websites or advice would be really handy, as I'm down to my last 100 baht, and internet time is cutting into my eating budget! Will be online around the 4th, so thanks in advance for anybody who can help. Regards Lee.

zuji.com are usually pretty good with airfares .......they have a 998 dollar airfare from bkk to London going with Etihad at that time roughly .....around 400 pounds in your dosh .......not too bad for a last minute single flight .......
It always pays to see if any travel agent can beat that of course ....doubt that many will ........

Bad luck Flube
I suppose its a silly question to ask where you stand with your travel insurance?
You did have travel insurance didn't you?
If so, loss of documents and the following consequence should be covered if you have a decent insurance.
I'd take gary09's advise, look at your online options for best price single ticket, make a note of it, then visit a travel agent (sorry, not familiar with BKK travel agents to help) and see if they can better or equal it.
Edit- Maybe this link can help with a cheaper fare back to London? 17,800baht +taxes one way

Is it worth paying a visit to the airlines offices and see if you can buy a ticket direct from them. Explain the situation etc.

I would go for a travel agency here to avoid problems.
Online and global tickets are not always easy, so make sure you get a ticket and can pick it up if you buy online. Some is only allowed to sell within their own country etc etc.

I am not clear on how you missed your flight, but stuff happens. The BEST resource many forget about is the carrier (airline) that had their original ticket.
There are a whole set of rules IATA that are in place to help protect you, these rules are even more in your favor if you have a round trip ticket on the same carrier. When traveling a quick review of the current IATA regs and knowing when to ask about them can have some very nice results. I was caught at a flight delay at SFO after I discreetly asked I was put up at a local hotel with meals etc all free, after arriving back to the airport discovered most all the other passengers had spent the night in the lobby, not all of them were in the middle of an international transit so did not qualify under IATA and the others didn't know so the carrier just pretended not to know as well. Know your rights when flying, your paying for them.

One of the best travel agencies must be Chawla Travel in Patpong 2 (their office being in Patpong does not mean they are second class). A friend of used them allready 25 years ago. They also have a website.

You can likely use some of the value of your old ticket.
Contact the airline that issued the ticket of the flight you missed. Get the e-ticket number and work from there.
Either rebook, paying a change fee, or use unused portion for credit to a new ticket.
good luck.

I was going to say that.
Also if you go to the british embassy they may be able to get in contact with someone at home so could send some funds over to help out.
