Have booked a flight in a few hours to phuket without thinking about available rooms. Will I be able to find a cheap hotel for tonight and a untill the 5th?

Try Nanai Road many guest houses down there and though I haven't asked it doesn't appear to be too busy down there. If you ask at the Offshore Bar would think they could help you get sorted.

Also try this one. Phuket Hotels - Save money today on Hotels in Phuket Have noticed a place called Club Coconut up off south end of Nanai Road for 860B a night on this web site. Looks Ok with a pool, but you will need a bike to get around.

Try northern end Rat U Thit road ( the long straight road you turn left onto after the big hill), the small hotels behind the outdoor restaraunts . If you come to the Sawatdirak Road intersection with a school you have gone too far.
Or Soi Sansabaii...both locations walking distance to everything.

Finally managed to get a room at about 1am on nani road. Thank you for all your help in finding the room. Made my way down to the mtb bar where I played connect 4 and some other dice game with one of the girls. Left there and then went to a few clubs and ended up home around 7am. Was a good night all round.
