Help Needed Please!!

Hello everyone, I hope you can help me with my quest!

After weeks and weeks of trying to book our return trip back to the Novotel Resort, Patong Beach with the tour operator we used last time, I decided to give up that route and try instead to book it directly.

The dates we wish to visit Thailand the second round time are from the 15th December through to 5th January, including 3 nights stay in Bangkok at the beginning of our holiday. According to the webasiadirect website, the Novotel has no rooms available for that period??!! Is that because its the Christmas holidays and would it already be booked up so early? I thought I would try and call the Novotel Resort direct and find out what their availability was but the telephone number on their website doesnt seem to work! I wondered if anyone local would happen to know how I can get the correct number?

As an alternative, they have suggested the Burasari Resort instead. To those who know, which is the better resort would you say?

Also, any advice you can give me on flights for our trip would be greatly appreciated.

I hope someone can help me out as I want to get this booked up asap.

Welcome to the forum.

Re you flight, I would book ASAP. The Christmas period sells fast and it is hard to get a bargain.
Have a check on this thread and put your dates into the search engines.
You will be surprised at the savings to be made comparing sites.

Re your hotel, I haven't stayed at the Burasari Resort so I can't help.

I'll look into the Novatel and see what I can find.

some websites are blocked for access for the Peak season (for Patong it's mid Dec to mid Jan for most) as the hotels feel they can get a full rate by themselves

Novotel is a lovely hotel but so is Burasari.....another hotel suitable for a family or couple might include the Amari Coral Reef

I'm sure their reservation system only takes bookings 10 or 11 months ahead (like airlines) wait a month and try again.

Thank you very much for your replies, you've been very helpful. After looking at the website for AsiaRooms.com, it appears that we can get the accommodation we require for our 3 week stay in Thailand although the flights however are still not yet available and I was just checking with you guys to see if you think it is still safe to go ahead with the booking of accommodation, with not yet having confirmed our flights? May be bit of silly question but some assurance would be great as this will be the first time we would have gone the direct route with our booking.

yep....OK to book but don't pay i advance if you haven't got your air travel confirmed....it is the peak season
