Singaporeair Airlines
Hi
I have just booked a flight for next Christmas for £170.
I had 60,000 air miles and got the flight for free just had to pay the tax.
The flight through ticketing is £1,000 so this is a bargain,
You get 15,000 miles from the UK to Phuket every time you fly so you only need 4 flight for a free ticket.
Its the best airline in the world and a saving of £830
Love Singaporeaire.
Best wishes
Drew

No I am flying economy.
You get 15,000 for the round trip in Economy.
An Economy ticket at Xmas is £1,000 so its a good deal. Economy on Singaporeair is better than business on some airlines.

i'm also using the credit card to earn additional miles!
"bonus" of it is, that your miles are valid indefinitely
just too bad that my last flight to LOS was just the half miles (cheap booking class which i didn't know ), otherwise i would also have already a free flight (registered just 1 year ago at the frequent flyer program)!
well... the next time!

I'm leaving tomorrow too, from Sydney with SQ.
Are you leaving from Syd?.......Couldn't have 2 forum members on the same plane, surely?
SQ is my preferred airline...............I get a free trip after this one, with miles accumulated. I also progress to Gold status.
Just a pity I never enrolled in the Krisflyer system earlier........I had 2 previous trips without points....GRRRRRR
I'm looking forward to check out the new 380 first hand.

I'll do my best, to make some kinda comments, but I'm far from being an aficionado like DK & Nels.

Krisflyer Points (SIA)
I've recently booked a return from here to BKK with my Krisflyer points, normally 40,000 points but if you do it yourself on line you get a 15% reduction. So I got it for 34,000 points and that includes a stopover in Singapore. I just had to pay the taxes. SIA points are very good value IMO. Qantas want 50,000 just to get from Perth to Singapore

In order to get free tickets or reduced price tickets, SQ also offers you to buy some miles per block of 1,000 to reach the required quantity for your free ticket.
For my flight to Singapore in November 2006, I needed just 1500 miles more to have a free return ticket from AMS to SIN.
I contacted the SQ office here and they send me a form to complete to buy additional miles for US$ 40 per 1,000 miles. Within 2 days everything was settled and they already added the miles to my account.
Straight away, I booked my fllight with the 15% discount as Gloryfan mentioned above. Bear in mind, that only the ticket itself is free. You still have to pay airport taxes and fuel surcharges.
So maybe this is a good tip for those of you, who are just lacking a few thousand of these miles.

A380
Hi
Just got this email from them.
This is the first Flight taking off from London in March on the A380, which if you book you can get a special certificate for.
I would much rather have one of those First Class Cabins and one of the Flight Attendants.
Singapore Airlines A380
