Hi
Doubt many BMs would stay at this place. However it looks newish and clean and cheap. But it is a fair walk from the main drag. And it is not far from the beach. Also dont expect a big pool. Looks small to me.
If this is what you want then go fo it.
If not then if you are prepared to spend extra you should look for something more central.

I know the owner as she comes and visits our neighbour on a regular basis.
She seems like a nice lady and she's in business with her mum. Good English and from what I've heard she runs a pretty decent business. It's her second guesthouse she owns in Patong; not sure what the other guesthouse is.

Sevenseas house has been my number one choice for accomodation for a couple of years now. Tuk, the owner, is a wonderful person and runs a top notch guesthouse.
The guest house is brand new and just opened in December. The original guest house of the same name and on the same site was demolished in May last year to make way for the new one.
I stayed there for 12 days over Christmas and the New Year and although it had only just opened, everything ran smoothly.
The pool is only small as suggested by others but plenty big enough to cool off and the beach is only 100m away.
The rooms are a good size and well appointed and i can assure you that cleanliness is not a problem. Even with the old guesthouse, it was always spotless.
I don't find the location to be a problem. It's only a couple of minutes stroll down to Rock City where i would usually start the night or if i was heading further afield there is a tuk tuk stand at the end of the soi that the guesthouse is in (50m away) so no problem.
If the price and location suits you then go for it. You won't be disapointed.
The only thing i would suggest is if you don't like climbing stairs ask Tuk for a room on the first or second floor as the lift has not been installed yet.
Hope this helps.

I am not familiar with the area around Seven Sea house. But unless you take a tuk tuk I would not walk alone if I was a female late at night.
Lawan Residenc is more central so should be more safe.

Like Goong, I have stayed at the Seven Sea House a few times, and I have absolutely no problem with it.
On both my previous visits it was a mostly wooden constructed building with 10 very large rooms, all with a balcony. It didn't have a pool when I was there, and (apparently) the owner had arrangements with the adjacent Novotel so that guests could use their pool (I never found out about this until I was coming home! ... long story). However, as the hotel is about 1 minute from the beach (maybe less, as it's slightly downhill), the lack of a pool was never a problem for me. This part of the beach is generally considered to be a bit quieter than the central and southern sections.
It is located at the very northern end of the beach, just behind the Novotel. There does not appear to be any signs indictaing where the hotel/guesthouse is located, and I don't see it marked on any maps, so it is easier to ask the taxi/tuk-tuk drivers for the Novotel. When you get to the entrance to the Novotel (which is up a steep slope) there is a small Soi just to the right, and the hotel is just up there.
The hotel is far enough away from the main road so that you cannot hear traffic noise, and it is far enough away from Soi Bangla and associated mayhem that it very peaceful and tranquil. One BG on my last trip said that it was so quiet that she wanted to stay the night, so a ST became a LT at no extra cost!
The walk down to Soi Bangla is about 20 minutes, so just enough time to build up a slight thirst. About halfway along, if you're feeling hungry or thirsty, or need some retail therapy, then there is Rock City and some designer shops. On the beach side of the road there is a pathway through some gardens, so the walk is quite pleasant.
The trip back from the Soi Bangla/Beach Rd junction is about 3 minutes and costs about 100Bht.
I felt very safe there on my two visits. The rooms had a small safe, and I never saw any trouble when I was there. I think that is a feature of it being so out of the way.
I'm there from 7th-19th Feb, when are you planning to be there?

Hey, the OP is called "sunnygal".
Does this infer that OP is female? And, if so might she be bringing stray "lads" back to the hotel?
Do hotels charge joiner fees, if lady guests return with male partners?

Sishow is correct.
On my first LOS visit I stayed at The Horizon in soi kepsap.
It was noted on the forum that the place was not GF (I'd paid & booked before I found this forum)........I got around that by paying for a 2 pax room & had an email as confirmation from them.
A coupla times late at night with different reception staff, they pulled the JF on me, to no avail......I just told them to call manager....no probs.
Anyways, I walked in one night with BG & there was 2 young Aussie chicks sitting there at reception with 2 young farang guys.
The girls called me over once they seen me & BG get my key from reception without drama.
They were confused as to why I was allowed to take in BG & they had to pay 3000b JF each, to take the young lads in.
They were mightily p!ssed off, let me tell ya.

Thats a good yarn easyrider.
Being Aussie chicks, they probably were too tight to pay the BF and ended up boofing them on the beach or in the dunny.

When I made my booking (for Feb '08) back in November the response I got was
"Thank you for your email. I build new hotel with swimming pool and my new website will design finish around next week. This is my website name Welcome to Seven Seas hotel in Patong beach, Phuket, Thailand. Please have a look and making reservation with the new site. We don't extra charge for the night guest."
I certainly never had any problems on my previous visits there, but I had never asked about GF or JF. I was always quiet and discrete (only ST's, arrive after midnight, BG went home about 4am; nobody about in hotel).
I got lucky with the few LT's that I had, when the BG was going home (10am -ish) there were very few people about.

Very good size rooms, including bathrooms, and as guest friendly as they come.

Just to update what I said in my earlier posts ... I'm here now! This message is being posted from the hotel wifi connection in reception.
We've been here 2 days now, and have been very welcome. The guesthouse has 24 rooms, and is mostly full. I've had no problems with 'joiners' up to now, and I don't expect any. The hotel owner seems okay with it all.
The rooms are plenty large enough, and being brand new, everything works. The ST/LT girls enjoy the good a/c and TV and seem quite happy to spend ages in the shower !
