Guest Friendly Hotels
I have recently returned from Thailand and I am already planning my next trip hoipefully in April
I spent 8 great days in Phuket in the lovely Summer Breeze hotel
However this time I would like a pool
Does anyone know if the Ex-Pat Hotel or the K-Hotel are guest friendly
These hotels are around my budget so if anyone knows any similar hotels that are guest friendly I would greatly appreciate your suggestions
Thanks

Hello,
I don't have the info you are looking for as I prefer Summer Breeze. I have not even used the pool yet that they have access to. Maybe next trip!
I guess my point is..maybe see you in April!
Good Luck in your search!

If you are after a pool try Poppa Palace.... http://www.poppapalace.com
If you shop around you can get some good prices for this hotel... As long as you book a double room ...no Joiner fees!
I stayed here in August and was very happy.... Only 5 mins walk to bangla but nice and quiet in the evenings...

Have a look at the "BM's Opinions" thread , lots of reviews of hotels/guesthouses.

Stayed at the Expat last time around... no problems with guests.
Got a pool and a stone's throw from the action...

Just don't expect to get any replies to e-mail from K-Hotel. Good pool but very basic rooms, girl friendly, though.

I use Poppa as well. Cant complain about anything about this place really. GF, close to Bangla and beach, pool, air-con, clean rooms and a good price to boot.
This place looks nice as well, but its a bit further out
Welcome to Seven Seas hotel in Patong beach, Phuket, Thailand.
Never stayed there, but may give it a look in April to see what its like.
KN is also a good place, again same as Poppa, near beach Bangla with pool etc,
KN Guest House, perfect comfort and location, Phuket Island
Some BM's incl myself have had a bit of mither with the e-mails from them, but apparently once you're actually in its fine.

When you say tight, just how much are you looking to pay , max, per night?
Also, when in April, as some hotels drop their prices after Songkran.

I was planning on being in Phuket for the Songkran
It would ideally like to get a nice room with pool close to Bangla Road for no more than 1500 bhat per night. But if i need to I could squeeze a few more coins out of my tight pocket. But the more I save on the room the more I can spend on the ladies :-)

Only one other hotel I could add to the list is Jintana Patong Hotel. Has a very nice pool and is under your budget. Last time I stayed in 05 it looked like it could do with a bit of redecoration around the hall area, but the rooms were nice, clean and big. There is now a joiner charge of 300 baht, but its less than 800baht a night after 1/4.
Jintana Patong Hotel Phuket Phuket : Thailand Hotels.
You may have trouble getting the hotel you want over Songkran though. Most are booked early as its a very busy period.

Just throw in my comments on the K-Hotel. Unless you book a Deluxe room, then dollars to donuts they will put you in the their hotel next door..."Capicorn"...It's not very nice, so you may want to consider staying elsewhere.

I got a reply withing 2 days from K hotel.
Hello from Phuket,
thank you for your interest in our hotel. We still have rooms available for requested period and recommend our newly renovated deluxe rooms.
Please visit following link for more information and rates:
This are the best rates what I can give you.
http://www.k-hotel.com/rates.htm
Best regards
Robert
Please see attachment they sent me.
I think it may be a pit too pricy from what I consider the hotel to be. Like a Summer breeze with a pool. I maybe wrong.
Also see these youtube vid.

A little old but see a tour by a charming young lady.

I tried Jintana but it was booked, however that may be because we wanted 9 rooms over Songkran, maybe ok for 1 or 2 rooms perhaps. deffo worth a try as Dawsey says. 69 DAYS LEFT, YEEEHARRRRGH, WHATA NUMBER

It's up at the northern end of the beach, just behind the Novotel. It has been completely rebuilt since I was there in December 2006, so I'm looking forward to seeing it now. As you say, it's a bit 'far from the action', but that means it is nice an peaceful. It's not on the main road, so no road noise when you are trying to sleep. Bt100 by tuk-tuk to Soi Bangla, takes about 2 minutes.
There is already a tread about this place ... see http://www.phuket-info.com/forums/ac...sea-house.html
