Well Westeast travel would not honour their Price match offer with Southall Travels price.

I quote from their website "WestEast Travel have been dealing directly with some of the world's leading airlines for over fifteen years and throughout this time, we have developed close relationships that enable us to offer the lowest possible fares - directly to you.

To prove our commitment towards our low prices, we constantly check our prices against our competitors and with our price-beat promise, should you find the exact same flight anywhere else at a lower price, we will not match the price, we’ll simply beat it."

When I emailed the guy I dealt with for my last trip and sent him a screen shot of the website and the price. They replied saying they would be unable to match this. Ummmm so why offer a Price match if you cannot honour it.... Bad Business practice in my eyes.

That is not right, not the same as what they advertise. May be some loop hole?

I read their T&C and they say they don't have to match it!!! Kind of don't see the point in offering a pricematch then personally!

I have just booked LHR to BKK on 7 August returning on 25 August with Jet Airways. The fare is £586 (I could have got about £30 cheaper if I was prepared to have 13 hour stopover in Mumbai on return journey).

A good fare given UK peak period with school holidays.

You get last minute flights for about the same price from Finland or Sweden, maybe other European countries to, but I have only cheched the price from these 2 countries.

For BM in the U.S, my Cathay Pacific fly from JFK via Hong Kong to Phuket in October is 100.00USD less than when I purchased it several weeks ago. That has to be a good sign.
