Question No More Cheap Flights to Thailand

Looking at flights UK to Thailand and unlike in previous years there don't seem to be any cheaper flights or offers, eg Thai Air £720 dep end March. Got that flight for £435 last year booking around the same time! (Airline-network).

Guess they are filling the seats these days so no discounts?

Easter Holidays

The airlines always increase airfares in the School Holidays.... (19 March to 15 April - Easter). Check prices for 15 March and 20 April.. you will get the idea.

Anyways you can find pretty good rates with travel agents too for small fees. Usually this time of year is supposed to be the cheapest.

Paid £481 LHR-HKT with Thai last year . This year £665 same travelling time Feb-Mar. No same same.
Good thing though is with Thai you can change your BKK-HKT free of charge anytime for stop in BKK.

Just seen on airline network Cathay Pacific £508 to BKK or HKT from Apr-Jul fom London. A bit longer flight as its through Hong Kong but its direct LHR-HKG. No extra charge if you want stopover in HKG. I think HKG-HKT leg is Dragonair. 6 DAYS TO GO!!! 55555555555555

You know, this time round was probably my cheapest flight to Thailand. Emirates and Etihad are pretty cheap.

A mate of mine has seen a flight for 400 and summit quid with Qatar. I know flights from Germany aren't that expensive. a friend of mine (Board member) is paying quite a good price to Phuket from frankfurt 600 and something euros.

There are barins to be had, just gotta look.

Have a look at Royal Jordanian via Amman, occasional bargains there.

If you do transit Amman, say hello to the sweetie in the Cigar place..........I do miss her. Booooooo Hooooooooo.

What are your dates Jamie?

I found Eva direct to BKK from LHR for £774 leaving Dec 12 and returning 30 Dec.

Once you go past 15th Dec outbound, the prices soar

I've got the 'Fare Alert' box ticked on the Airline-Network website.

Go and have a look. Enter your dates and they will ping you back an email if anything crops up. Obviously they have access to more fares than you looking on your own.

They just sent me a fare of £508 for the 11th April (Not the dates you're after I know) but not bad for Songkran time! Manchester-Phuket-return. Book by 29th Feb.

Good luck anyway, I heard Branson flew one of his planes on yoghurt today........Guess thats my diet out the window then!

Visa Versa for me our kid. I've always been flexible with them on the phone i.e. offer a couple of days either side of when I want to fly (I know with work, not everyone can do that) Opodo are the same, if you give them concrete dates they will just go for it, tell them you can slip and slide a bit.

I came back here in January and for moving a flight two days (from a Tuesday to a Thursday) it came out at £149 cheaper. That was MAN-HKT-Open ended for a year, so valid until mid Jan next year with Emirates.

Good luck, keep looking, things change almost daily and if you can be flexible, there are some cracking 'last minute' bargains out there.

Let us know how you get on.

Funny as I found the opposite 5555
I have their "specials" emailed to me, and quite often find a bargain to be had if you are quick.
Westeasttravel is also a good place for prices.

I found a flight with your dates 18/12 -14/01 (4 weeks) with Thai direct for
£678 inc taxes. Interested??

http://travelhouseuk.farebase.net/tr...ch_results.asp

If that has gone, got Eva for £854 and Thai for £817 same dates and definately available.
