I presume you mean Koh Phangan.

Bus to Surat Thai and then a ferry out to the island.

Or you can fly to Samui on Bangkok Airways, 4 flights a day, for a shade around 2500 THB. Ferry from Samui to Koh Phangan.

Probably 600 - 800 baht for mini bus and ferry.. Take all day, early departure, then boat, then messing..

More like 3 - 4000 flying once you factor in multiple taxi's (3 I guess), and the boat from Samui to Phangan but all in all it will be more like 5 hours v 10.

Either way it will take a full day, but I think the bus and boat option is more idiot proof and set up for you, the Samui plane option is less of a drudge (those busses can be nasty if full) but you need to handle each of the separate steps yourself.

If there`s a few going you could charter the Patong seaplane(9 seats), could be another option.

Virtually door to door.

I have done the bus trip ( mini bus ) takes most of the day from Phuket to Surat Tani then a ferry to Koh Samui. Can boook at any travel shop in Patong. Stay Samui and then ferry / speed boat to Koh Phangan for the FMP. Don't try to look for accomodation on Koh Phangan just for the FMP . It's pretty hard unless you book and get there a few days in advance. Better to stay at Samui. If I really had the choice I would fly. The bus trip is long. Have fun.
