Can anyone recommend squareone hotel

Hey Guys, looking at doing a TEFL course at patong, Ive got an option of being put in the squareone hotel (squareone offers luxury rooms at budget prices in the south end of Patong) for accomodation.

Anyone have any comments about this one? is it GF? I can't seem to find much on the forums or even google about people staying at this, some say its ok.

Any BM's can recommend this?
Otherwise I might look elsewhere

hi not seen this hotel previously advertised or investigated on the forum....looks ok for the money, travel distances to beach and nightlife are possibly optomistic but aren't everyones.

Will be interesting to get other views on the location adjacent to the river/slow moving sometimes stagnant watercourse as shown on the hotel map and how close the location is to a former (still maybe active) rubbish dump which I recall reading was possibly on the opposite river bank

i would highly recommend you not take that course, in patong, or stay at the hotel, most rooms have no windows i believe, and i havent heard to much good of the course. id check out ttt school in Chalong. They will also be able to help you find accommodation.

Thanks for your feedback, ive heard a few good things about it (the course), so i guess ill have to wait and see if its good or not.

Its the only one in Patong and I want to go somewhere where i know my way around well.

Re the accomodation im going to go against squareone hotel - its a bit far away from bangla and i dont like that river running behind either ...
Not to mention far away from the course itself!

they do bring you to the course by minibus from Sq1.

i stayed there for 2 months or so, personally i like it, the rooms where very clean, staff was very friendly. free computers downstairs to use.

no window in my room, for me that's a good thing, as i like to sleep during the day. many rooms do have windows though.

did onetime see some sort of nasty looking seasnake swimming in the river, my tgf was really freaked out by it, and thought she was hallucinating!

around the corner is the booze outlet, cheap booze
