Transportation around Phuket
Going to be staying in the north-west of the island at some place called Indigo Pearl (anyone know it? any good?).
I'm wondering, how do i get around at night? For example, if i want to go down to Patong to experience some 'culture', how would I go about getting back to the hotel? I understand it's 30 minutes drive away...are there taxis? Even late at night?? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Well I posted some time back and not one person has replied...find it hard to believe that no one knows how to get around in Phuket. I had hoped there would be someone willing to help me. Not a very friendly board this.

If you rent a taxi or tuktuk from your hotel to patong, then you can tell the driver the time you want to go home and he will pick you up. Or you can just take a tuktuk from Bangla road back to your hotel, but that will be more expensive. Better to have the same driver all the time, then you can get better deals. And motorbike taxi is the cheapest, then ordinary meter taxi is in the middle and tuktuk is often the most expensive.

Had it not occured to you that maybe nobody knows the answer? I would hardly call some BM replying "we dunno" as 'friendly'.
Try finding a lady with a motorbike if your hotel is guest friendly. You could take a 700 baht room on Soi Banzhaan and stay in Patong for a night as well.

your choice of hotel is not very good if you want to visit Patong on a daily basis, consider changing.
You will spend a lot of money on transport that could have been used on more usefull things. A taxi or tuk tuk are the best solutions to cover that distance.

Send LivinLOS a PM. I think his lady has a motor bike rental around Nanai. Don't know if they rent Yamaha Nouvo though, but its worth an ask.
