More praise for Summer Breeze Hotel
As I have just returned from a 17night stay in the Summer Suite at the above hotel, a few lines on my thoughts are in order. I noticed all the positive reports from this place, and thought it only right to try for my self.
The car was waiting as promised outside HKT airport, and a nice careful airconditioned drive into Patong followed. It is a free pick -up, and a welcome sight after a long journey.
Check -in is quick, and the girls had our suitcases outside the room before we climbed the stairs. My only negative about SB is the lack of a lift, but its so minor, hardly worth mentioning. We were pleased with the room, a suite, with an extra bed in the lounge. Its not as roomy as many other places, but perfectly adequate.
All the usual amenities are in the room, and its a very comfortable bed. The shower/bathroom is clean with good water pressure.
The BB pool which is about 2/3 mins walk away is excellent, and free for guests.
The reception area is spacious with free internet, a good restaurant selling a good variety of Thai and western food. I can recommend the pepper steak at 250baht. A well stocked bar and great coffee too.
All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Ying, who lent my wife a hairdryer.
Finally, Bill, the joint owner, is a helpful friendly guy and a great host.
I'd have no doubts about choosing this hotel again anytime, and its location in Soi Sansabai is perfect for Jungceylon and Bangla Rd.

Do the toilet facilities at SB have "bum guns"?
How's the pressure?

Yes, the Summer Breeze is a great hotel! The staff really make the place for me; Tian at reception is a welcome sight every morning!
I stayed there for 18 nights last year and didn't get free airport shuttle....! I'll have to have a word with Bill!
Looking forward to another visit in September!

Just to make it clear, pick up from the airport is free, but the return trip is 600baht.
dan boy. I'm obviously not as young as you, or you would have got your case carried up as well 5555

During my stay last year, I decided to stay for a few extra nights. so I had to move room from the second floor to the fourth.
While I was at reception getting the key, the cleaning staff girls packed AND carried all my stuff up to the new room!
Needless to say I tipped them well! They were all great characters too, those girls! they had a great sense of humour, Jeab (?) in particular!
Like I said, great staff at the SB!

Yeap SB is a very nice place to stay. Stayed at the Summer Suite during last trip, booked the Superior Room 2nd floor for next trip, i am too lazy to climb up 4 floors. 555.
Food is nice there and good to see Tiger Beer on Tap.
Staff are great also. I forgot the name of the security guard at night, but he's one nice guy. Chatted with him a couple of nights when i couldn't sleep (thanx to the redbull).
Tian is nice also, she arranged a nice minibus for me and mates to Phuket Town.
Ying is lovely !!!

Yes Dawsey, SB is a great place to stay. Was there twice of which the last time with my GF and we were treated great. They even remembered my name after one year. All the staff is great as well.
Indeed the lack of an elevator is the only draw back, but it will not hold me for staying there again.
Am a little surprised though about the free airport pick up as last September I had to pay 1100 Baht for the rteurn ride. But they may have changed their policy.
