OK, you'll have plenty turning up for your free beer
My mate stayed there for his honeymoon and said it was fantastic. They are booking in again a couple months time.
Very nice place but 6,500 per night in low season seems awfully pricey!

Amari Coral Beach is NOT guest friendly, so all the best with your email, they charge 1000 bht for a guest even if pre-booked!!
You've done everything right by asking and getting confirmation, so not having a go in anyway, but keep your reply and be prepared for argument. It shouldn't happen and hope it doesn't but not my experience of Coral Beach.

amari
Thanks Dodger and Dingo's for the info.
Actually Dodger, on the net, the price was around 5.500 Bht and i think they already charged me the extra 1,000 Bht for the future guest !!
this is my second time to Phuket, i stayed at the Laguna last time, it was great but very far, each time 40 min by taxi. i am hoping Amari is close to the action ?

No, it's at the southern end of Patong beach, a little out on the point. A tuk-tuk ride to Bangla. The resort itself is very spread out so it could be a 10 minute walk, up and down stairs, from your room to reception!

You can walk but will get either very hot from the distanc ein the nights heat or be out of your tree by the time you get to Bangla, because you've stopped at every bar and had a little cooler on the way!!!!
Tuk Tuk negotiating got to me when I stayed there as we were using the tuk tuk's 4 times a day and negotiating for the same journey 4 times a day, even sometimes with the same guy from earlier that day, got me down and I'm one that actually likes bargainig!!!
'why you say 300bht when we both know it only 100bht?'
'one way system long way round!!'
'but you took me same distance this afternoon and only 100 bht?
'ah different tuk tuk, this one more new!!
'lets use old one then'
'okay 250 baht!!
??????????

thats helarious dude ... i will probably have a driver with a car for the whole day. last time i was paying 1000 bht a day, the driver was with me the whole time, probably making commission on everything i bought.
money is not an issue when its vacation time. the savings are peanuts, 1000 baht is 30$ or so, no biggie.
note i live in Dubai, the money is good.

I was also looking at Amari, I emailed them and asked about guest policy, sounded like no problem with guests, and no mention of paying 1000bt supplement. Having said that, does look kinda honey moon ish, so i am gonna go with Bin yaan Dee as per some other users recommendations.
