My mate Anthony just spent two weeks living in this new place and he gives it a big thumbs up.

Everything in the room was brand new and the water pressure in the bathroom was excellent.It is GF and the staff were very helpful.His room had a large bath as well as shower unit and he paid 1,500 per night.

On the second floor there is a large pool hall area with ten tables and a bar coffee shop area.It is all well air conned and comfortable to hang out in.

This is the second person to give me personal recommendations for this place.My other friend brought his Irish GF and they had a large room complete with jacussi in the room for only 1,800 per night in December - a bargain.

It is only another minutes walk up the San Sabai new road.

Amazing as I went and asked 2 days ago for a month in low season (pricing it for someone) and the jacuzzi room was 2700 (I think 2.7 2.8 maybe 2.6) per day in may june !!!

I've heard higher prices too, and the website (on Phuketdir that is) lists them as 2,500 and 2,800 in the high season.

Looking at a map it seems a bit far from anything, including a BTS station.

I would assume the lower prices were when they just opened and started up but now going for their real rates.

Hope I did not make a complete mess out of this, but I thought Crusty was referring to the place up on Nanai. If that’s the case, then it most certainly seems a bit far from a BTS station (roughly 4 hours by plane and taxi as a matter of fact

If that's the case then I've fcuked up. Google gave me 'La Residence' in BKK.

I would be guessing its the sansabai place too..

And they gave me rates of 2 thousand something (I really thought it was even over 2.5.. But I had been out for a few daytime beers) for the jacussi room. and high 1000 something for a normal room.

Also at first they didnt even tell me about the 'normal room' when I asked how much for a room for a month in low season they replied the 2.5k price !!! Having just been next door at Jennys where they said 500 per night (650 with one free in room massage per day) was thier standard pricing but also asked if he was staying long term.. Well I didnt even try to haggle with BKK residence.

The rooms may be nice and all but 5x the price of next door and 2.5+ for low season ?!?! Seems like high aspirations.
