Alpina Phuket Nalia Resort & Spa

Hey guys

Has anyone stayed at this hotel, or do you know anything about it? Apparently this is where we are staying - I was trying to get something at Patong but the travel agent said this would be better...

Any thoughts?

Web site Alpina Phuket Nalia Resort & Spa says it's in Kata on a hill. The pics look good but you are MILES from any action and the rates are 6,000 bht per night!!!!! Of course I'm not sure what you are looking for in accommodations. Go to Tui Travel Asia - Australia hotels,Singapore hotels,Thailand hotels and Japan hotels with instant confirmation - check hotel availability book your hotel room for some GREAT deals on some GREAT hotels in Patong. Of course there is a hotel section here on the forum also.

I know it's not cheap, but I like my creature comforts and thankfully I'm not really travelling on a budget this time around. I am travelling with a group (5 of us) so I didn't get much of a choice as to where we stayed, but for my next trip I will definately get something around Patong.

Hmm, I may have to hire a driver for the week to ferry me around

For low season, that seems pricey for that location. Actually even in high season. To me the place looks like a 4ish star hotel with a 2-3 star location. 6000/night in high season usually gets you in the 5 star range.

We are going in peak season - leaving Australia 30 December and flying home 11 January.

To be honest I'm not sure how much we are paying a night for it - it was all booked through the travel agent - they did up a package and the price looked good so we booked. I didn't worry too much about it - just looking forward to getting there
